Ohio State lands two commitments on the day of the spring game from priority 2025 targets
Lori Schmidt / Columbus Dispatch-USA TODAY NETWORK

Football was back in Columbus as the Ohio State Buckeyes played their annual spring game to wrap up spring camp. With the spring game, came a pair of new Buckeyes.

Ohio State added two class of 2025 commitments with TE Nate Roberts and in-state S Cody Haddad giving their verbal commitments.

Keenan Bailey got his top target in Roberts who he offered just about a year ago. Roberts is a four-star player and the No. 5 overall tight end in the class of 2025 according to 247 Sports Composite. The 6-foot-4, 235-pounder out of Oklahoma chose the Buckeyes over the Sooners and Oregon.

Roberts has been able to visit Columbus multiple times and build a good relationship with other recruits in the class.

Haddad decommited from Wisconsin just a few weeks ago and now he is a Buckeye. The 6-foot-1 safety that attends St. Ignatius in Cleveland is the second safety to commit in the class and joins four-star New Jersey S DeShawn Stewart.

We will likely see a bump in the rankings for Haddad, who is a three-star and the No. 519 player in the country for 2025. Haddad has 22 offers to his name with Texas A&M, Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan State, and others involved. The Buckeyes will still be heavily after in-state S Trey McNutt and this changes nothing there.

Ohio State now has 13 commits in the class of 2025 and that is likely less than half of the players we will see end up with the Buckeyes by the next signing day.
